3. Services Provided
The Company provides specialized manual digging services primarily for geotechnical and soil engineering firms, including:
- Hand-dug test pits
- Hand-auger borings
- Downhole soil sampling and extraction
- Hand-dug fault trenching
- Backfilling
- Property and site cleanup (no haul-away services)
All work is performed according to the written scope provided in the project quote.
4. Quotes and Pricing
- All projects require a custom quote based on project scope, location(s) and site conditions.
- Published pricing on the website, if provided, is for informational purposes only and does not constitute a binding offer.
- Quotes are estimates "only" and may change if scope, location(s), additional equipment, specialty items, and site conditions differ from those originally described.
- Final pricing will be based on completed services rendered.
5. Payment Net Terms
- Payment must be made by check mailed to the Company address unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Invoices must be paid within 30–45 days or as indicated on the invoice.
- The Company reserves the right to suspend work or future scheduling and assess late fees for unpaid balances.
6. Late Fees
Late payments may incur:

Administrative late fees:
- A late fee of 2.5% of the total final invoice shall be applied if the invoice is not paid within 30–45 days.
- Interest on outstanding balances:
- If the unpaid balance is not resolved within 60 days, the final invoice will continue to accrue an additional 2.5% every 30 days thereafter, or until the final balance is paid-in-full.
- Collection actions if necessary.
Clients remain responsible for any costs associated with collection of unpaid invoices.
7. Cancellations
Clients must provide reasonable (verbal or written) notice when canceling scheduled work. Cancellation fees may apply if:
- Travel or mobilization has occurred.
- Cancellation occurs within 48 business hours prior to the scheduled work date.
- Projects scheduled for more than 1 day — the cancellation fee will apply to a maximum of 3 days.
Cancellation fee is assessed as a 4-hour charge.
8. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for:
- Accurate project specifications
- Safe site access
- Utility location and marking
- Compliance with local permitting and safety requirements
The Company may refuse work if site conditions are unsafe.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SoCal Digging Operations LLC shall not be liable for:
- Unknown subsurface conditions
- Damage caused by inaccurate site information
- Project delays caused by weather or site conditions
- Indirect or consequential damages
Total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid for services provided.
10. Governing Law
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
- Any disputes shall be resolved in courts located in San Diego County, California.
